Not bad for a 1st season.

You can feel that it is only the first season. It does mature slightly in later episodes. While some permanent features of the show are also dropped later I don't feel that it is either for good or bad. It seems that the first season is slightly less funny, but also slightly more informative. Overall it's a great show and I strongly recommend it. Also, listening to the whole season gives one a feeling of continuity and completeness, which you don't get from listening to it on YT or podcasts.

Startalk review

i really enjoyed listening to Dr. Tyson and the questions from the listeners.. i think the comedian Lynne Koplipz is a bit annoying in the sense that she doesnt seem to have any background knowledge at all about physics and the topics discussed. Eugene Mirman and Chuck Nice are really funny though, and seem to know just a little about the topics, and they ask good follow-up questions... But they only appear from the start of season 2. So overall i love this show, and i will always listen and be in awe of Dr. Tyson, but i think the comedian sidekick in the first season was a bad choice.... Anyway i love the show and the topics discussed.. its always facinating when you bring science down to earth and nobody is better at that than Neil DeGrasse Tyson!
